The Idea

A portrait session is mostly conversation. The lighting is decided before anyone walks in, so the hour we have together goes on direction and trust rather than on moving stands around. What comes out is somebody recognisable, not a stiffened version of them.

The Craft

Single-source key with controlled falloff, shaped to the face rather than the room. Retouching is deliberately restrained: skin keeps its texture and colour stays close to what the eye actually saw.
