Proposal photographer in Paris

You handle the question. I handle where to stand, when the light is right, and how to stay invisible until it is over.

The Eiffel Tower in winter fog, seen from the east

A proposal is one take. So the work is almost entirely before it: the spot, the hour, a sign between us, and a plan for when something goes wrong.

Where to propose in Paris

Trocadéro

The classic view of the tower. Go at sunrise, because by ten it is full of people. It can feel exposed, which some people like and others hate.

Pont Alexandre III

Gold statues, the Seine and the tower in the distance. Quieter than the Trocadéro, and at its best at the end of the day.

Jardins du Palais Royal

Hidden, calm, framed by arcades. Good if you would rather not have a crowd watching.

Montmartre, early

The small streets around Rue de l'Abreuvoir are quiet before nine and very different after.

How it runs on the day

  • We agree on the exact spot and a sign, such as a hand in a pocket or a jacket taken off.
  • I arrive before you and look like any other tourist with a camera.
  • You walk to the mark. I photograph the moment from a distance with a long lens.
  • After the yes, I come over and we take twenty relaxed minutes of portraits nearby.

What to send me

Your date, your hotel, what your partner thinks is happening that day, and a rain plan if you have one. I will send back a place and an hour.

Questions

What if it rains?

We keep a covered alternative, such as the Palais Royal arcades. Rain also empties the city, which often helps.

Do you speak Serbian?

Yes, and French and English. Write in whichever language is easiest.

Can you film it too?

Yes. A short vertical film of the day can be added and shot by me.

Tell me the date.

A brand to sort out, a film to shoot, or a session in Paris. A few lines are enough. Say what it is, when, and where you are.
